AI super-resolution for static images

Unpixelate an image online

Reduce visible pixel blocks and rough stair-step edges in small, compressed, or repeatedly saved photos. ClearCrowds opens the existing super-resolution workflow directly after upload.

Best for static JPG, PNG, and WebP images with mild to moderate pixelation.

  • Low-resolution blocks
  • JPEG stair-steps
  • Camera or focus blur

Pixel blocks grow with the image

Illustrative comparison of blocky enlargement and cleaner detail. AI estimates missing detail, and results depend on the source.

Choose the right repair

Use depixelation when the grid is the problem

Pixelation, blur, and grain can overlap, but they are not the same defect. Starting with the right workflow produces a more believable result.

01

Low-resolution blocks

Square color patches appear around faces, product edges, text, or fine patterns after enlargement.

Use Unpixelate
02

JPEG stair-steps

Diagonal lines and curved edges break into visible steps after compression or repeated saves.

Use Unpixelate
03

Camera or focus blur

Edges smear without a visible square grid because the camera moved or missed focus.

Use Unblur instead

How to fix a pixelated photo

The feature page sends your image into ClearCrowds with the Resolution preset already selected.

  1. 01

    Upload the original file

Choose the least-compressed copy you have. A source downloaded from social media may have already lost detail.

  2. 02

    Run super-resolution

The preset enlarges the image and reduces visible blocks and rough edges with AI-assisted detail.

  3. 03

    Inspect important areas

Zoom into faces, lettering, patterns, and product edges before downloading the result.

Where unpixelating helps

Use it when the source is small or compressed but still contains enough structure for a careful enhancement.

Old web photos

Prepare small images saved from older websites or messaging apps for a larger display.

Product crops

Improve jagged packaging, fabric, and outline details in a cropped product image.

Compressed screenshots

Reduce visible blocks in ordinary interface captures and non-sensitive graphics.

Artwork and posters

Smooth enlarged edges in illustrations, poster graphics, and social visuals.

A precise promise

AI cannot recover the exact missing pixels

Depixelation estimates plausible detail from the information that remains. It can make an image cleaner and more usable, but it cannot prove what was present in a lost original.

  • 01Tiny faces, unreadable text, and completely missing detail may remain unreliable.
  • 02Do not use generated detail as evidence or as an exact reconstruction of a document or record.
  • 03Keep the original and compare identity, lettering, logos, and repeated patterns before publishing.

Unpixelate image FAQ

Straight answers about depixelation, upscaling, source quality, and output review.

AI can reduce visible blocks, smooth rough edges, and add plausible detail while enlarging an image. It cannot recover the exact pixels that were discarded from the original file.

No visible pixel grid?

Try Unblur for soft or smeared photos

If the image is large enough but looks out of focus, shaky, or generally soft, use the static-image Unblur and Sharpen workflow instead.
