Change one color in a PNG, not the whole image - Free

Pick a color from your image, choose its replacement, and tune the tolerance for smooth anti-aliased edges. Transparent pixels stay transparent.

A focused recolor that protects the rest of the design

PNG Color Changer targets pixels near the sampled source color. It does not wash the full image with a filter or flatten transparent edges.

Click to sample
Pick the source color directly from the image instead of guessing a HEX value.
Catch soft edges
Increase tolerance to include anti-aliased and slightly shaded pixels around a logo or icon.
Keep light and shade
Preserve-lightness mode transfers the new hue without turning every matched pixel into one flat tone.
Preserve transparency
The alpha channel is not recolored, so transparent backgrounds and semi-transparent edges remain usable.

Replace a PNG color in three steps

Start with the original PNG when transparency and crisp edges matter.

  1. 1

    Upload your image

Choose the PNG, logo, sticker, or icon you want to recolor.

  2. 2

    Pick and replace

Click the source color, choose a target color, then adjust tolerance and lightness preservation.

  3. 3

    Review and export

Inspect small edges against transparency before applying and downloading the PNG.

Quick color changes without rebuilding the asset

Use this tool when the structure is already right and only one existing color needs to change.

Logo variants

Prepare a brand mark for a campaign, dark background, or partner palette.

Icons and stickers

Match interface icons or transparent stickers to a new visual theme.

Product graphics

Change one flat product accent while retaining highlights, labels, and transparent space.

Social assets

Reuse an illustration in a new palette without tinting every other color in the artwork.

Color tolerance is deliberate, not automatic segmentation

The tool replaces a sampled color range. It does not understand semantic objects or isolate every visually similar item as a separate layer.

  • Very broad tolerance can affect other areas that share a similar color.
  • Multicolor gradients may need more than one pass or a layer-based editor.
  • Use Image Tinter when the goal is to recolor the whole image rather than one sampled color.

PNG color changer FAQ

Answers about transparency, tolerance, and the difference between replacement and tinting.

Yes. The replacement changes RGB values in matched visible pixels while preserving the original alpha channel.
