What the viewer can and cannot tell you
Photo metadata is useful context, but it is not an authenticity check.
- The panel is read-only and does not change the photo or its metadata.
- Screenshots, social apps, and export tools often remove EXIF and GPS; stripped fields cannot be recovered here.
- Camera and software metadata can be edited, so it should not be treated as proof of when, where, or how a photo was made.

How do I view all metadata in a photo?
Upload the original image here. ClearCrowds opens the Photo information sidebar with a summary and expandable EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP, ICC, and other sections that are present.
Why does my photo have no EXIF or GPS data?
Screenshots, messaging apps, social networks, and many export tools remove metadata. A camera may also have location recording disabled. The viewer shows only fields that actually exist.
Does viewing photo metadata change the image?
No. This is a read-only view. Opening the panel does not alter pixels or metadata.
Can photo metadata prove where a picture was taken?
No. GPS and other metadata can be changed. Use it as context, not as proof of authenticity or origin.
