PNG Color Changer targets pixels near the sampled source color. It does not wash the full image with a filter or flatten transparent edges.

Click to sample: Pick the source color directly from the image instead of guessing a HEX value.
Catch soft edges: Increase tolerance to include anti-aliased and slightly shaded pixels around a logo or icon.
Keep light and shade: Preserve-lightness mode transfers the new hue without turning every matched pixel into one flat tone.
Preserve transparency: The alpha channel is not recolored, so transparent backgrounds and semi-transparent edges remain usable.

The tool replaces a sampled color range. It does not understand semantic objects or isolate every visually similar item as a separate layer.

Very broad tolerance can affect other areas that share a similar color.
Multicolor gradients may need more than one pass or a layer-based editor.
Use Image Tinter when the goal is to recolor the whole image rather than one sampled color.
